In September of 2009 I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. I’ve really enjoyed my time at home with him. The prospect of going back to work is a little daunting. What I’d really love to do is be able to work from home, and ideally passively make money online. I have a degree in Computer Engineering and worked in my field before going on mat leave, so I know my way around a computer. However the world of web design, CMS software, blogs, SEO, and making money online are all pretty new to me.
This blog’s original purpose is to chronicle my journey as I try to learn enough about how to make money online so that I can stop working for someone else, and be a work at home mom. I admit that I will use this blog as testbed of sorts, adding AdSense ads, using affiliate links, etc, in order to try and get some income. However I’ll make sure to tell you every step of what I’m doing, so that if I’m successful, you can try to replicate my success yourself!
Beyond playing with blogging software and Adsense though, it turns out that I think I have a lot to say about a bunch of stuff. And this blog seems to be the logical forum for me to tell the world all of my opinions and advice. So, yes, this is another mommy blog. I promise to try and keep it palatable for both those with and without children.
